Day 9

I did the treadmill again today and feel pretty good. Today, I logged:
  • Time: 1 hr 40 minutes
  • Miles: 6
  • Calories burned: 606

My goal is to do as much as I can on the days I don't have class and not so much going on, so that way on the days I do, I can do just a bit and feel good.

Day 8

Another workout in and I am also down on my weight! YAY!! I am down 5.6lbs. I did the following workout today:
  • Time: 61 minutes
  • Miles: 3.51
  • Calories burned: 343

Day 7- Early A.M. Workout

I actually woke up at 5 a.m. this morning; I felt great waking up and not the least bit tired. I was able to do the following:
  • Time: 90 minutes
  • Miles: 5.27
  • Calories burned: 525

My goal from now on-at least during the week days- is to wake up early in the A.M. to get my exercising out of the way, especially since my classes start next week.

Day 6

Despite having the entire family home today, I did get a chance to get some treadmill time in. Although I didn't get in as much as I would have liked, at least it was a good amount. Today I did the following:

  • Time: 62 minutes
  • Miles: 3.55
  • Calories burned: 370

I weighed myself this morning when I woke up and I am showing a 7.2 loss. I'm going to wait till Tuesday before I weigh myself again and whatever number I get then is what I'm going to use to update my weightloss ticker.

I feel better after taking a day off. I did get some treadmill time in today.

I think I'm going to get some new running shoes next week because my old ones are pretty worn.

Day 3

Another exercise day logged. Again, I did the treadmill and logged the following info in my notebook:
  • Time: 67 minutes and 38 seconds
  • Miles: 4
  • Calories burned: 425 (assuming the treadmill is correct!)

I've done great with my eating. Yesterday, after I had exercised, I made sure to take some Tylenol because I knew my body—especially my legs—would be sore. I was right. Around the kids’ bedtime, my legs were getting that achy feeling and I took some Motrin. The kids went to bed around 8:30pm and I was soon to follow. I believe I fell asleep before 9:30pm and slept soundly till about 7:30 this morning. I felt so refreshed. I was sore, but, nonetheless, still refreshed! Normally, I toss and turn all night long and by the time I do fall asleep, I still feel groggy and tired the next day. I'm hoping this will keep the insomnia away. Will tomorrow be another great day? I sure hope so!

Day 2

I did the treadmill again today and did 60 minutes of fast walking on an incline of 1 and at a speed 3.5. A few times I jogged at a speed of 4.5 for a few minutes, but that was only a few times. According to the treadmill’s computer, I burned 393. Now mind you, I’ve entered my current weight in the system, so, to me, it’s believable. I've logged 3.38 miles today. YAY!

New Year--Day 1

I think I have finally realized I can and will do this. I haven't put any effort into losing weight for some time now, and I am finally ready to lose some of myself. For the past few days, I have been watching how much I am eating and making some better choices. Today, I did get my behind out on the treadmill and walked/ran 2.5 miles in about 47 minutes. YAY me. My goal for tomorrow is to do about the same. I would like to log 100 miles for the month.
